Jazz musician, guitarist and teacher, Guido was born in Bari, Italy in
1964 where he currently lives.
The completion of his studies and introduction into the music world came
through the help of accomplished Apulian musicians, and his first professional experiences
were with his father, the crooner Nino Di Leone. Starting in
1980 he deepened his jazz studies with Tomaso
Lama and attended the
Siena Jazz
seminars. His style grows out of his study of musicians such as Wes Montgomery,
Barney Kessel, Joe Pass and
Jim Hall.

Concert
tours have included: Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Ethiopia, Greece, Israel, Morocco,
China, Australia and the United Emirates.
He has produced a notable artistic and cultural contribution to the city
of Bari with the founding of "Il
Pentagramma" music school, a strong entity which has brought forth much
talent.
In 2002, Guido wrote the didactic text
"Metodo
facile e completo di Teoria Jazz" (Easy and Complete Methods
of Jazz Theory), published by "Sinfonica Jazz"-Carisch.
Since 2004 he has been the instructor
of jazz guitar at the N. Piccinni Music Conservatory - Bari for the Academic Diploma
in Jazz Music. He carries out seminars on jazz guitar and jazz theory for the ISMEZ
orchestra master classes and for the "Jazz Improvisation for Singers – Spoleto Arts"
course held by Michele Hendricks in Spoleto, Italy.
