of the prize "Massimo 
Urbani" in 2000; winning, with 
his quartet, of the first prize to the National Contest of Jazz "Baronissi"
2000 and of the prize of the public to the international 
contest "Tramplin Jazz D' Avignon" in France, Max Ionata is a young talent 
that alternates with great ability and experience the tenor and soprano saxes. It 
begins the studies to the 11 year-old age and since young he has conducted an intense 
artistic activity.  
 
 He 
has attended the conservatory "L. D'Annunzio" of Pescara, and he has improved the 
studies of jazz near Columbia College in Chicago under the direction of William 
(Bill) Russo.
