Born in Milan in 1977, undertakes the study of the piano at eight, playing classical music. Discovers jazz in the adolescence and studies with: Ray Santisi at the seminaries of the Berklee School in Umbria Jazz '94, Franco D'andrea and Enrico Pieranunzi at Siena Jazz '96, Enrico Intra and Roberto Pronzato at Civici Corsi di Jazz of Milan, where he obtains the diploma in 1999.

In 1995 joins the Big Band directed by Enrico Intra and records 4 cds with them: "Italian Club Graffiti" for Erga-Peer Music, "Night Creatures", "New Perspectives" and "New Italian Jazz Graffiti" for Soul Note and accompanies, among the others: Dave Liebman, Max Roach, Bobby Watson, Bob Brookmeyer, David Murray, Eddie Daniels, David Raksin, Franco Cerri, Enrico Rava, Franco Ambrosetti, Giovanni Tommaso.

In 2000, inspired by the music of pianist Ahmad Jamal, constitutes CUES Trio together with Lucio Terzano and Tony Arco, recording in 2001 "Introducing CUES trio" for the DDQ-SoulNote and in 2002 "Cues trio meets David Liebman - FEEL" for the Abeat records.

While sitting in a jam session in New York, meets James Cammack, who has been playing bass with Ahmad Jamal for two decades, and plays several concerts with him in Italy in 2004 and 2005.

In October 2005 he records with the Nat Su 4et the CD "Volatile", coming out soon for Swiss label TCB. In December 2005 he records live with Dave Liebman during an Italian tour.

Currently he collaborates with: Alice Ricciardi, Gaetano Partipilo, Gianni Cazzola, Roberto Rossi, Marco Micheli, Jean Charles Richard, Tony Arco, Marco Vaggi, Nicola Muresu, Nat Su, Attilio Zanchi.
