Jorge Cid, started studying music when he was 9 years of age. He studied classic guitar and symphonic percussion and later on in life, he focused just on learning to play drums. When he was 18, he started teaching in his home town, Bahia Blanca.
After working professionally as a teacher and sessionist of different music styles like Gospel, rock, jazz, fusion, Latin, electronic, etc and having recorded various CD and EP's, having gone on tours and having done clinics in the most important cities of Argentina and having been given an award "Disclosure drummer of 2002" by the "Club de bateristas argentinos", he decided to move to Buenos Aires in 2004.

In Buenos Aires, Jorge recorded 2 CDs: "Cool tango" by Aureliano tango club (tango-jazz) with whom he has played in the main theatres of Buenos Aires and Argentina and has been the target of the most important music critics of the country and "En el cielo" trio La Nave (pop)

Jorge has taken classes and master classes with musicians like Oscar Giunta, Jojo Mayer, Fito Messina, Daniel Piazzolla, Alvaro Lopez, Gregg Bissonnete, Jota Morelli, Marco Minnemann, Cristian Borneo y Ezequiel Ghilardi.

At the moment he is preparing to represent the new horizons of the Argentine tango in the "Buenos Aires Tango Festival" in Rome, Italy, in September 2006.

He is also working as a producer of a new Rock&Pop project, he is leading a jazz-fusion group and preparing to start a school for drummers in Buenos Aires together with another drummer, Cristian Borneo.
