Ferdinando Martella was born in Latina (Italy)
17/07/1978 Trumpet Diploma c/o "SANTA CECILIA
Conservatory" in Rome.
From 1979 up today He teaches TRUMPET in "Giovanni
Cena" Middle School.
June 1985 JAZZ MUSIC & ARRANGEMENT Diploma c/o
"LICINIO REFICE Conservatory" in Frosinone (Italy) with M° Gerardo Iacoucci.
From 1985 to 1993
He plays as 1st Trumpet in several Big Bands.
1987 "BERKLEE COLLEGE" Scholarship during "UMBRIA
JAZZ" in Italy.
1987 During Roccella Jonica Jazz Festival in
Italy, he plays in "NEW TALENTS BAND" conducted by a jazz saxophonist: Oliver
Lake.
1988 Certificate of Completition at "BERKLEE
COLLEGE OF MUSIC" in Boston (USA).
From 1989 up today He conducts and arranges
for his "Jazz Orchestra" in Latina.
1991 He attends the Summer Stage of "MANHATTAN
SCHOOL OF MUSIC" in Castelfranco Veneto (Italy) under the guide of Lew Soloff.
November 2003 At the 2° International Competition
of Comines (Belgium) he takes part with his arrangement "OLD BLUES" in Big Band
Category: he wins the third prize (between 61 operas).
Today He plays Gerry Mulligan's and
Chet Baker's
repertories in "Revelation Quartet"
