Born
in Rome, starts his musical training in Italy (with well-known drummers as Ettore
Fioravanti, Fabrizio Sferra) and continues in
1987 at P.I.T (Percussion Institute of Technology
branch of Musicians' Institute of Hollywood - Los Angeles), where he graduates himself
with " honors", studying with such drummers as Steve Houghton, Joe Porcaro, Ralph
Humprey, Chuck Flores and many others. He receives also a special prize: the
" Human Relation Award".
Best musical experience:
A three year Europe tour with Pupi & Fresedde, a theater company of Florence performing
and playing music composed, among others, by the italian composer Nicola Piovani,
the jazz – fusion band "Autumn Leave" (Jazz Contest in Milan and the "Todi Festival
"), the "Lello Scassa Sextet " (Pescara Jazz Festival, "Jazz sotto le stelle" –
L'Aquila), "Brazil Way" of the brazilian singer

(Jazz & Image - Villa Celimontana in Rome editions 1997
and 1998), sax player Giorgio Kierkiè
(Brisighella Jazz 2001), with the clarinet player
Bill Smith (Artena Jazz 3000).
He's currently playing with the "Antonio Flinta JazzQuartet", where he
can freely express his jazz sensibility and creativity. The band performed, among
others, at: Ploiesti Jazz Summit, Brasov Jazz Days, Bucarest EuropaFest, Sonvico
in Jazz (Svizzera),Ankara Jazz Festival, "China Tour" (Pechino, Tianjin), Bansko
Jazz Festival (Bulgaria), Kaamos Jazz (Finland), Smeltedigelen Jazz Festival (Norway)…
He's also an effective member of the "Karl Potter Percussion Group
", directed by the afro – american percussionist Karl Potter.
From 1995 he is a founder of the Staff
Music School with seats in Rome and Viterbo; he alternates performing and teaching
career.
