Fri-Sat, Feb 25-26, 7:30pm & 9:30pm The Allen Room
"Many fish bites / If you got good bait!" For decades, Taj Mahal has been one of the living legends of the blues and American “roots” music. He's teamed up with everybody from Muddy Waters and Howling Wolf to Ziggy Marley and the Malian kora player Toumani Diabate. But he’s never more powerful than when featured with his own band, or just his own voice and guitar. This rare New York appearance is a welcome opportunity to experience an American musical institution. Featuring Kester Smith on drums, and Bill Rich on bass.
This concert is available as part of our Smokin' Jazz Sessions series subscription package.
